Help Me Remember

Captivity, destruction, pain, suffering, loss, heartache, hopelessness . . . the psalmist had every emotion, every reason, every opportunity to embrace the rights to his own bitterness. instead, he elevated his thoughts to the recollection of God’s blessings.
“Let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth, if I do not remember you, if I do not set Jerusalem above my highest joy” (Ps 137:6)
The enemy will intimidate and taunt us as a means to steal and destroy our peace. God walks with us through our suffering and gives immeasurable grace for abundant life, joy and hope. He’s been there. He is our Peace.
