Helping Others Get To Where They Want To Go
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” (Ps 139:23, 24)
With complete confidence, David asked God to examine his motives and to challenge him to the point of anxiety. When was the last time we asked God to take us to a breaking point? David knew this process would deepen his relationship with God and provide direction for Kingdom walking. David understood that anxiety and worry diminish impacting effectiveness.
Why trust God with this level of evasive evaluation?
He knows me. (Ps 139:1-6)
He hears me. (Ps 139:7-12)
He made me. (Ps 139:13-16)
He thinks about me (Ps 139:17-22)
The Designer knows His design. The Author knows the storyline. The Architect knows the building. The Shepard know His sheep.
The Message reads, “Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I’m about; See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong— then guide me on the road to eternal life.”
Trust and obey . . . for there’s no other way!
