God’s Got This

“Lord, how numerous are my enemies! Many attack me. Many say about me, “God will not deliver him.” (Selah) But you, Lord, are a shield that protects me; you are my glory and the one who restores me.” (Psalms 3:1-3)

David faced many enemies and they were close . . . Some were his most trusted advisors and his own family.  They were confident that his demise was not only certain, but close.

The psalmist’s knew different.  He was assured that even in the most deadly and devastating attacks, his Redeemer was also his Deliverer. And, he needed no other.

The LORD was his Protecter . . . “You are my Shield.”
The LORD was his Praise . . . “You are my Glory”
The LORD was his Provider . . . “You restore me”.

The result of this full affirmation and faith acceptance was his Father’s answer (“To the LORD I cried out, and He answered me from His holy hill.” (vs 4)

The result is recorded in verses 5-6; David was rested, he was refreshed, and he was resilient.

Facing discouragement? Disappointment?  Disillusionment?  He will deliver.

Rest in His protection.  Rejoice with praise.  Restore your faith and hope in Him.

He’s got your back.
