Time to Laugh

“Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to carry.”
—Matthew 11:29–30 (Amplified)

When was the last time you said . . .
“I feel the weight of the world.”
“You can’t believe the pressure I’m under.”
“I’m so stressed out”.

In our daily lives, it becomes easy to live outside our lane. We can place a priority on our own goals and desires instead of God’s. When we desire God’s will above all else, life becomes much less uncertain or threatening.

Accepting the way God handles direction, timing and outcome can be a challenge. There is slight transition from monitoring my responsibilities to monitoring His responsibilities—His things are beyond my control. Find freedom by accepting the boundaries of your domain.

Remember that He is Emmanuel – “God with us”. He cares. He is in control. He carries our burden.

Here are the “R”‘s for today . . . Rest in Him, Release to Him and Rejoice (laugh today).

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.”
—Proverbs 31:25
