Helping Others Get To Where They Want To Go
You have to appreciate the simple stuff – Peanut Butter & Jelly, Grilled Cheese, Steak & Baked Potato. (Yes. It’s all food.)
The extravagant excites, but the simple satisfies.
The psalmist asks a significantly perplexing question that demands a simply profound answer. “Who shall ascend the hill of The Lord? And, who shall stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully.” (Ps 24:3-4)
Yes, we are new creatures in Christ. There is no more condemnation in Christ. Nothing can ever separate us from the love of God. But, we run the race to win . . . we diligently work out our salvation.
If we desire His presence we must decide our path. We work with clean hands. We love with a pure heart. We walk in integrity. We speak the truth.
Resting in the position of our salvation does not mean we relinquish the process of sanctification. Simple devotion, strategic determination and soulful discipline enables our spiritual development.
The result is the pleasure of His presence and the promise of His provision. David writes, “He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.” (Ps 24:5)
The Message sums it up, “God is at their side; with God’s help they make it. This is what happens to God-seekers, God-questers.” (Ps 24:5-6)
Enjoy Him. Embrace Him. Experience Him.
It’s the simplicity of seeking that satisfies.
