Blessing God in times of bounty, as well as brokenness is one of the boldest proclamations of praise. Our humble appreciation is His highest adoration. Our willingness to worship at all times sends ripples of His redemptive righteousness throughout a reeling world.
Our praise is continual and comprehensive. In good times and bad, in times of rejoicing and times of regret, in valleys and on mountain tops, we bless His name. He is always ready and responsive.
He Hears. When we call, He answers. “I sought the Lord, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears.” (Psalm 34:4) The righteous have a guarantee of God’s hearing and grace. The psalmist reminds us that He always has His “ears toward their cry.” (Psalm 34:15)
He Helps. In our desperation, He delivers. “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.” (Psalm 34:6)
He Hides. The psalmist encourages us to simply try and trust and He will be our Tower of security. “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” (Psalm 34:8)
He Heals. In our heartache and hurt, He is our Holy Healer. “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.” (Psalm 34:19-20)
No matter what our triumph, trial or trouble, we bless Him at all times. Our God proves that He is worthy of our praise.
