Each time He said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

It would be great if every cup of coffee was just right . . . if every gift was the perfect gift . . . if everything always fell into place.  It would be great . . . but it doesn’t happen.

Jesus tells us that “each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matt 6:34). Our enemy’s strategy is to take, but Jesus’ solution is to give.  Jesus tells us, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” (‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬ NLT)

God confiscates our burdens of grief and converts them into blessings of grace.

Through His grace, we experience a presence that is always there, a power that is never diminished and a promise that is always kept.  His grace is always enough.

His Grace Is A Gift.  

This is one of the critical concepts of a life with Christ . . . HE GIVES US GRACE.  We can’t earn it, we can only receive it.  It’s God gift to us.  Paul reminds us, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” (‭Eph ‭2‬:‭8‬ ESV).  It may be time to trade stubbornness for surrender.  It may be time to stop trying to do it all ourselves and allow God to work through us to do what He wants to do.

His Grace Is A Guide.  

When we come to a roadblock, His grace gives us an alternate route.  The psalmist reminded, “You guide me with Your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny.” (‭Ps 73‬:‭24‬ NLT). When we feel lost, lonely and are looking to find a way, He is there illuminating our every step and influencing our every decision.  Look for the path marked by His grace.

His Grace Is A Gateway.  

Acknowledging our need for God’s grace is admitting our weaknesses.  Admitting our weakness affirms our need for God’s power.  We are not victims . . . we are vessels carrying His grace.  Paul knew his participation was only one part of God’s plan.  He explained, “Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful.” (‭1 Cor‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬ NLT)

His Grace Is Good Enough.  

God’s grace is sufficient for all that we need.  It’s just right.  It’s perfect.  It makes everything fall into place.  God’s grace makes us what we are . . . and it’s good.  Eugene Peterson, in The Message, illustrated Paul’s comments, “But because God was so gracious, so very generous, here I am. And I’m not about to let his grace go to waste.” (‭1 Cor‬ ‭15‬:‭10 MSG). In another translation, it reads, “But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me . . .” (‭1 Cor ‭15‬:‭10‬ NLT).

Grace living comes with grace giving.  As we have freely receive, we freely give.

Grow in grace.  It’s just enough and there always some to share.
